Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me. John 16:32

And so if you want to be faithful, to remain and stay with Him. He pointed out that the disciples were going to do this. You know they had a chance to be able to say when they heard this ‘ Lord we hear what you’re saying, please help us – we don’t want to scatter, we don’t want to leave you. ‘ But they were undisciplined, they weren’t hearing yet. Their hearts weren’t really being touched.. They had faith but it wasn’t genuine.. sincere.. not the faith God was looking for.. It’s got to be worked on. ‘ A Faith That’s Real But Not Disciplined. ‘

Don’t Leave It! Make It Your Prayer

And that is why we have to be honest with the Lord. When God challenges us like He’s challenging us today – don’t leave it. Make it your prayer, go before the Lord, ask Him to work that in your life – you may not have another chance. That is why the Word of God is so important and that is why we can grow by this Word.. That’s how you get that disciplined faith – a faith that will be loyal, that will remain and not run away and scatter like the disciples did.

We don’t know what this walk holds – what lies tomorrow and so I need to be anchored in the Lord. I need that unbroken fellowship because I’m aware otherwise I can do my own thing.. We can hide, we can go off.. and so we allow the Lord to work and discipline our faith for this very purpose – so that we will not scatter. We will stay with Him in fellowship.. whatever He goes through.. You don’t walk on your own, you walk in fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ.. you don’t leave one another. I believe that is sonship faith – the walk that God is perfecting and working in us – that unbroken fellowship 24 / 7.. ..

A Faith That’s Real But Not Disciplined
O Love, that wilt not let me go,
I rest my weary soul in Thee;
I give Thee back the life I owe,
That in Thine ocean depths its flow
May richer, fuller be.
O Light, that followest all my way,
I yield my flickering torch to Thee;
My heart restores its borrowed ray,
That in Thy sunshine’s blaze its day
May brighter, fairer be.
O Joy, that seekest me through pain,
I cannot close my heart to Thee;
I trace the rainbow through the rain,
And feel the promise is not vain
That morn shall tearless be.
O Cross, that liftest up my head,
I dare not ask to fly from Thee;
I lay in dust life’s glory dead,
And from the ground there blossoms red
Life that shall endless be.
