You Have To Be Empowered
You don’t hear much today now in preaching and teaching about the Baptism in The Holy Spirit – how you have to be empowered for this – to go on the extra mile. They’ve lost sight of all this the same as they lost sight of this after Pentecost.. Why – because they want to organise and control it. And that’s why the church doesn’t want to walk by faith. Where you have got areas of unbelief still in your life it’s because you still want to organise and be in control of your life. That’s why you don’t get breakthroughs. ‘ Always Be Zealous In Repenting. ‘
Faith Or Fear And Unbelief
I’ve said it so often and I will say it again – for some it is the most fearful thing to let go of everything and let God take over. That’s why God has to deal with fear and unbelief else you’re never going to let go fully. You’ll convince yourself you’re in faith. You will convince yourself you’re doing the right thing and everything but God says ‘ I’m calling you to repentance, you need your eyes opening. There’s reason why you’re not walking by faith as you should be – you still want to organise.. be in control. ‘ God says you burn all your bridges when you walk with Him. That’s why most accept the lukewarmness, they’re neither one thing nor the other.
Keeping Close Accounts
The tragedy or this is God says ‘ I spew this out of my mouth. This doesn’t glorify me. Better you were cold and honest than trying to be an overcomer…’ They don’t accept Christ’s admonition to be zealous and repent. I go back to the title – that is what is going to help you. That’s what helps me – to be always zealous in repenting.. Repent and be zealous about it! Don’t put it off, don’t leave it till tomorrow or next week. Keep those close accounts before the Lord, it’s vital now in this final race that we’re in.. .. ..
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? 2Corinthians 13:5
