Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men. 1Corinthians 14:20
How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. 1Corinthians 14:26
..This helps to bring the Word of God alive to us so that it’s not just a letter on a page. It starts to become alive and this is important for our growth. When we learn the Word of God.. know and quote these promises – we start to see it happening. It starts to become miraculous.. supernatural, alive, that’s the whole point.
And that’s why He has to deliver us from this struggling for survival. You don’t have to struggle for survival, God has given you a new life in Jesus. He is now your rock, He is now your life. He’s the one that provides.. is empowered to preserve and keep you in this world. ‘ Are You Making The Word Of God Just For You? ‘
You don’t have to struggle to survive any more which is what the world.. fallen nature does. That’s why we see what we see – because it’s in man. It’s that struggle to survive. We don’t have to now, we can let go of all that bondage – all that worry anxiety and fear. Did you know that’s connected with survival – worry anxiety fear? It’s a sign your still struggling to survive. You don’t need to – let go, the Lord’s not going to let you go under.
And we’ve all proved that haven’t we, we all know that is true. Because it hinders your faith, and if you don’t let go all your faith in the Word of God is just going to be about you and God. It won’t be any further – any bigger. In other words it stops you from growing and maturing. It’s all about self and the Word and Promises of God are not just about self.
Sacrifice or Self Survival ?
Our life is to be a spiritual sacrifice. It is sacrificial in nature because it gives.. shares, it will take on the responsibility. It will pray for a brother of sister or enemy.. that is what love is about – that agape love. But the Word of God is also to bless us in seeing the greatness of God, and that’s what it’s ultimately about.. ..
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 1Peter 5:8-10
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: Ephesians 4:11-15
