Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee. But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.Luke 14:12-14
Higher – Out Of Judgement
.. God has invited us to the Marriage Feast and we know this. There’s going to be that marriage feast in heaven – that grand glorious day and I can’t wait for it. What is that revealing to us – that He’s brought us to a higher place and position hallelujah with God! And what is that – it’s escaping judgement.. I’m reminded through the bible how God elevates and takes saints higher.. often out of judgement. ‘ Are You Progressing Higher With God? ‘
I’m reminded of Noah who built the ark and warned for one hundred and twenty years.. He was humbling himself – looking rediculous, but God took him higher in that ark. God will always bless with family and take them higher as well by your faith – your prayers. And so they rose above the judgement of that time..
And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. Genesis 7:1
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. Revelation 3:10-13
The Sign Of Being Taken Higher
.. He’s saying quite clearly ‘ keep my commands.. keep the Word, keep what I’ve given to you.. I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world.. ‘ There again is a type of being taken up higher with God. He’s all the while working with us – taking us higher and higher with Him. That is the sign we should always be looking for, that’s what should be happening both individually and corporately with us.. ‘ I’m aware spiritually that God is taking me higher with Him. ‘
Progressing Higher Ready For Rapture
.. And that’s only going to happen when we abase ourselves. It is for the purpose of the next great event The Rapture – the snatching away of The Saints. Again, taken up higher and this time into the presence of Almighty God. Hallelujah! So there we are brothers and sisters, are you progressing higher with God? That is the question we’ve raised today, and our Lord gives a very simple teaching in Luke 14. The basis the key the root to it all.. .. ..
