Are You Removing Rash Statements?

Are You Removing Rash Statements?

Mark 14:28-32 “But after I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee.”

29 Peter said to Him, “Even if all are made to stumble, yet I will not be.

30 Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you that today, even this night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.”

31 But he spoke more vehemently, “If I have to die with You, I will not deny You!”

And they all said likewise.

32 Then they came to a place which was named Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples, “Sit here while I pray.”

….. He’s trying to get us to grow up in this area, He’s trying to save us from using rash words – things that we don’t really mean.  Isn’t it wonderful that when we say these things before God He’s listening knowing that we don’t actually mean that.  He doesn’t put us down reject us or turn His back on us, but He works with us until He gets our words lining up and in harmony with the Word of God.

The Lord isn’t going to have us confessing fear, He’s not going to have us confessing unbelief, He’s going to work and work and work with us until those confessions that come out of our mouth change regardless of the circumstance, the feeling or the doctors report.  The report that we should always be longing for or listening to is God’s report – God’s Word not man’s word.. We wait on God, we listen to what He is saying.  We’re all to quick to listen to what the bank manager or relative says first and only then take it to God, and we wonder why we can’t hear what God is saying …..
