Changed By The Word Of God
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.
“Eat and drink!” he says to you,
But his heart is not with you.

… … We’re dealing with the head and the heart, you are the sum total of your thoughts. If you are thinking fear and unbelief you are that, if you are thinking hate resentment unforgiveness you are that. 
This is why we have the mind of Christ as the Word of God tells us, and we are to cast down those wrong thoughts – those things that war against God and against His Word and what
we’ve been taught .. God has got this completely under control and that is why we’re changed by The Word…
It’s good to get from scripture just how God does this, how great our God is, how He gets hold of our lives, how He works and changes us into His likeness and image – it’s an absolute miracle! This is why we are so blessed with God’s Word – this Word that we hold in our hands. These 66 books – the greatest most precious thing that we have, 
you can have nothing greater as your possession to read meditate upon and to be taught from. This Word is living and powerful, it is God it is His Word, it is eternal, it lives and will never die. That is why it is such a precious revelation, how through the centuries the enemy has tried to destroy the Word but God has always been one step ahead to preserve and keep His revelation to man.

A person who has not been born again by the Spirit of God will tell you that the teachings of Jesus are simple. But when he is baptized by the Holy Spirit, he finds that “clouds and darkness surround Him….” When we come into close contact with the teachings of Jesus Christ we have
our first realization of this. The only possible way to have full understanding of the teachings of Jesus is through the light of the Spirit of God shining inside us …. ….
Jesus said, “The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63). Once, the Bible was just so many words to us — “clouds and 
darkness”— then, suddenly, the words become spirit and life because Jesus re-speaks them to us when our circumstances make the words new. That is the way God speaks to us; not by visions and dreams, but by words. When a man gets to God, it is by the most simple way— words.

This is how God chose to reveal Himself and speak to us. In the beginning He spoke, conversed with Adam and Eve – they were hearing the Words of God audibly spoken to them. Because of the Fall into sin we now must hear and read the Word under the anointing – the unction of the Spirit, that is the difference.
