” Well today we have a title that we’re going to talk and exhort about and that is ‘ Christ’s Cross is the Door into His Life ‘ and I want to start this off this evening looking at a couple of scriptures the first one being in

1 Peter chapter 1 verses 8 to 12 ..
8 whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, 9 receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.

10 Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you, 11 searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow. 12 To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things which angels desire to look into.

Here we’re shown that the promise of Messiah – Christ coming – of course was foretold and prophesied through the ages – in the old covenant through the teachers and the prophets. They saw that one day He would come ministering grace – the messiah coming opening the gates of heaven, coming that man would have a relationship one to one with God Himself.

Of course they didn’t fully know and understand this, so often they were prophesying things way ahead that they didn’t always understand but the Spirit was leading and anointing as they did. But here it shows very clearly that Christs cross is the doorway into His life and that eventually one day God was going to come in flesh – incarnate – that man would enter once and for all into a new and living way in a relationship with Him.

So often we as gentiles take this fore-granted, we don’t really

fully understand from a Hebrew understanding or from a Jew that is converted just what this actually means…. …..
