Count On It Done

“Well today our title is called ‘Count On It Done’ … Romans 6v9-14 .. speaking about ‘we are dead to sin but are being made alive to God .. he’s really speaking about the power and greatness of God that lives within us .. remembering of course that we have the fullness of the Godhead within us so that we are preserved and kept by Him. The preservation is that we are not touched by the world .. ever looking to Him …

9 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. 10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. 11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. 13 And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

.. primarily looking at verse 11 .. an accountant has to reckon up and this is the idea here .. we’re to reckon .. rely on it, take it forgranted .. are you going to count it as done or not, that is the question …

.. God in time in your walk with Him will comfirm that to you. And where does He often comfirm this? – right in the midst of trials. Now we’re hearing it today we often only know the reality/touch of that when you go through a trial, because that’s where Christ is with you. Our trials are getting us to know experiencially this Word that we preach.

Our trials stop this word simply becoming a mental exercise, that’s why so many professing Christians are not really touched by the Word of God because it’s simply a mental exercise, this sorts out the boys from the men spiritually speaking..

We are to reckon it’s done – the same [as] Jesus is the same for us. When Jesus said “Into your hands I commit my Spirit” He knew exactly where He was going – there was no doubt at all. I believe the rapture will occur when we like Jesus come to the place where we know where we are going…
