Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And having an high priest over the house of God;

The Battle Is The Lord’s
.. God is teaching Israel that their battles are won by Almighty God. He’s now beginning to give them greater revelation about how they win these battles. He says ‘ the battle is not yours – you do not need to fight in this battle – I’m going to show you how it’s going to be done. ‘ He says ‘ position yourselves ‘ and He shows the position they should be in.. ‘ Faith Is Our Assurance. ‘
.. Set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you,..
Standing And Seeing
.. In other words ‘ you are in a battle, the battle is mine, I want you to stand still and see your salvation. I want you to see God who can save you because you cannot save yourself. ‘ In other words He’s giving them faith – He’s giving them assurance. He’s taking their eyes off the enemy – off the circumstances. He’s getting them to look to God. That is what God tries to do with you and I particularly in our trials because all we’re doing is looking at the enemy. We’re looking at what is trying to attack us or bring us down. It’s what we do, and God says ‘stand still ‘ right in the midst of you trial.
Standing And Letting Go
Have I not said to you for years brothers and sisters ‘ in your trials let go! ‘ It doesn’t matter what it looks like, it doesn’t matter what the family are saying, let go and see the salvation of God. ‘ Position yourself ‘, and what is the position? Letting go, ‘ stand still ‘ – being still so that you see Him because He wants you to know that The Lord is with you ‘..
.. O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you. 2Chronicles 20:17
Hearing From God
.. He’s giving directions. He says ‘ not today you will go. ‘ He says ‘ tomorrow you will go. ‘ You see you’ve got to obey, and when you stand still you let go and see that the battle is The Lord’s, then God begins to speak.. And He will show you the way out of your trial. Your frustrated .. angry.. depressed.. the enemy’s got on your back because you’re not hearing from God. And so you don’t have that assurance of faith.. .. ..
For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. John 17:8
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1
So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. Hebrews 13:6
My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. Psalm 73:26

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: John 5:14
