I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, Ephesians 4:1
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. Revelation 2:7
Partaking Of Christ
.. The tree, that is Christ – His Word – we eat of Him. That is why I’m calling this teaching ‘ Fire Or The Word. ‘ The Overcomers have this hunger for The Word of God because The Word of God is Christ to us. That’s how He comes to us. We see these words, these promises, as we read them we see that this is Him speaking to us. This comes out of revelation.. relationship – a covenant with God which the sons of God have. Some see that and some don’t. That’s why the Baptism in The Holy Spirit is to move us on into the fulness of God. ‘ Fire Or The Word. ‘
Walking Through The Storm
So many believe when they’re baptised in The Holy Spirit that they have made it. They fail to see that that is the start of a deeper walk with God and it requires that we overcome. How can you walk with God if you don’t overcome? Your overcoming is because God doesn’t bypass problems or situations. He walks through the storm.. the waters.. the lightening.. the earthquakes – all that we would run away from.. We walk through it together – that is what makes an Overcomer. That is what He’s teaching us and that is where our faith grows and matures. And not all want that.
The Fiery Trials Of Faith
That is why we can go through our fires now – our purification now through the Word of God because there’s coming a day when fire is going to fall, and you don’t want to be left. And so this fulness of God it requires that we overcome and part of that is the trials and tests of our faith. For all this to be achieved it takes the instrumentality of His Word and obedience in our lives.. That’s why we have such an appetite – such a desire for The Word of God and to get under the anointing – the unction of The Spirit.. .. ..
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. John 16:13-15
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Ephesians 5:26-27
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. 1Corinthians 3:11-15
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. John 5:4
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Hebrews 6:1
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. Revelation 21:7
