30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into
the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
How often do we skip over the ‘much more’? He has a reason for saying that. All this is in the context of our everyday needs. God knows the environment that we live in – the bills that have to be paid and our tendency to turn anxious eyes away from the Lord onto the cost of living.
Matthew 6:26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into
more value than they?
Birds obey their instinct, they yield over to what God has put within them and therefore know exactly how to find a worm and build a nest.
.. 31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
We still want to be mentally/intellectually in control – we need to learn to yield to The Holy Spirit that God has put within us, and therein lies the battle!
Our minds are like computers, if you put wrong data in wrong information will come out, and so God is reprocessing our minds ‘on the fly’ – through the everyday experiences of life in the light of His Word … …
When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will, He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey … …
Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
What He says we will do, where He sends we will go;
Never fear, only trust and obey.
