And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. 1John 2:3-6
Fellowship In The Love Of God
God Is Perfecting His Love In Us. There is no real fellowship unless the love of God is working within the hearts of the saints. It’s in those who keep His Word that the love of God is being perfected.. God always wants to confirm and encourage our faith that we are ‘ in Him. ‘ A lot of our unbelief where we miss the mark is that we are not always quite sure that we are in Him. We can confess that, we can sing choruses about that, but that has to be ministered to us by the Holy Spirit.
Keeping The Word In Him
We are in Him because He is perfecting us – that is an experience.. a revelation. It’s an anchoring, it gives us that confidence to trust in God’s Word. You will never trust in God’s Word in your own strength.. I don’t care if your’re in The Word twenty-four/seven. You cannot be religious with regard to The Word of God – It is keeping The Word of God. In other words how God ministers The Word to us – we remain faithful to that. And of course we have been very blessed over the years with the Deeper Life and the call to walk by faith – that is a total faith.
Loving God And Knowing His Word
And so God has put within the Saints – the Overcomers – this great desire .. love for The Word of God and saints have travelled distances to listen to The Word of God ministered by the anointing. Why? Because ‘ this is God’s love being perfected in me. ‘ There’s a hunger for this – a desire.. desperation. It’s what we walk by – our confession. This love cleanses us, it keeps us in the light – standing with Him. If we don’t love then we don’t know God, this is why He’s perfecting us. It will be achieved and done by saints who keep His Word.. ..
