God Opens Up Ways Of Fellowship

Our Father In Heaven

This evening I want to look at how the Lord is ever mindful of fellowship, and that is the reason why we are saved.  We are created and made for His worship – for fellowship, that is the primary aim in our Father’s heart.  We might not always be aware of this, we have to be taught and shown  that we are to walk in fellowship and covenant relationship with Him.

That is the goal  and destiny of the Jesus disciple – the Open Door into the Deeper Life – fellowship with the Father through Jesus Christ His Son.  If the bride who is making herself ready is not aware of this and experiencing this then she’s not really called as a bride.

We know that not all are going to enter into this marriage (The Wise and Foolish Virgins, Matthew 24).  The Wise Virgins have seen – with that extra vessel of oil – that their walk and commitment is a fellowship and a union with the Lord Jesus Christ, that is its ultimate goal. We need to learn from the scriptures and understand in our everyday walk with the Lord how He’s working and accomplishing this.  In order to experience true fellowship and bare the fruit of unbroken fellowship it is  necessary to abide in the vine and walk in covenant with Him.

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

1 Corinthians 1:9 God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

John 15:4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

John 15:16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.

Whatever I face or go through – nothing, no trial, no tribulation is going to separate me from that fellowship that I have with Almighty God.  I am to remain in unbroken fellowship 24/7 in whatever circumstance I find myself in.

The Way Of Fellowship

God presents us with and brings us through every trial for one purpose – to open up and present to us the way of unbroken fellowship.  The Jesus disciple is prompted to choose  joy, peace and union with the Lord as opposed to the comfort of the world every day through every situation every moment.  God’s faithfulness is to become his/her faith and heart also – which is redemption.  The yielded heart can’t hide from Him for it no longer has a private life.

Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego (Daniel chapter 3) learn’t something about fellowship with Almighty God, right in that consuming fire the pre-incarnate Christ was seen.  Why did He appear in those flames with those men? He was showing that nothing breaks fellowship with Almighty God.  Sadly in trial and pain we manifest self  pity unbelief grumbling moaning fear and yet God is trying to reveal to us that our fellowship doesn’t break; our faith and hearts desire is to ‘abide in the vine’.

Abiding In The Vine, Abiding In The Vine; Love Joy Health Peace, Jesus Makes Them Mine

Luke 9:23 Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your bodya]and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Jesus entered  this unbroken fellowship with His Father when He went to the cross, nothing could separate them for they were of one heart and Spirit.  The cross reconciles, the cross brings us into unbroken fellowship with God 24/7.  If we truly receive this priceless gift then we will value it with our whole mind and soul and being.  We are to exchange the world view of sorrow and despair for God’s revelation of trial and the cross.  This is how the Christian Church is going to stand in these last days through the fiery furnaces.

Luke 23:46 And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.’” Having said this, He breathed His last.

Hebrews 12:2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

The Way Of Witness

Ephesians 4:1-5 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with long-suffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism;  one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

It’s not about us it’s about the life that lives in us and unless this our hearts desire we are never going to see any breakthroughs in these last days.

Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

You can do no more than bring your heart your being and present yourself on that alter and God will do the rest.  The heart is the seat of your emotions and affections and when you yield these over you  start to enter into fellowship with Him.  You begin to see more and more the unity and oneness in the Body of Christ, what our fellowship is all about, why we come together, why we desire to sing praise, to exhort one another, to listen to the Word of God, to pray and intercede.

“It all makes sense, it’s where I belong – this is right for me”  We no longer then become Sunday Christians

.. Lord I pray that you will continue to do this work and that each of us will experience that we have been saved and redeemed to walk in unbroken fellowship 24/7 Father.  That is the desire the want the longing of our hearts – and if it isn’t Father then please put it within us to long, to believe, to stay with it whatever it takes, because we know that fellowship means experiencing your fullness in and through us and I believe it is that that will get the worlds attention – that people will begin to change, to believe, to turn away from their sin…

Father I thank you that your church is united in true fellowship, that unbroken fellowship, and it is upon the rock of Jesus Christ that it has stood and we each of us stand.  We know that it’s immovable, resolute – never changes and is always the same – because it’s Jesus.  Father please make what we have heard today a reality in our lives.  Help us to experience that the trials we go through are designed to open up ways for us to experience the unchanging nature of fellowship and the reality of it…

In the Word we see the saints who went through hardship and trial, but those trials and hardships were designed in such a way that they would experience that unbroken fellowship.  Unless we experience that unbroken fellowship we will always retract in our trials with self pity, that unbelief or anger against you – we’ll always find some excuse as to why I can’t overcome or why I can’t believe…

…But Lord as we yield over to you we will begin to see and experience in that unbroken fellowship that yes I had to go through that, there was a reason I went through that great trial and tribulation – because you were showing that nothing changes our fellowship with you.  That is why you’re the same yesterday today and forever.  I thank you that your everlasting Word is life to us.
