God’s Law and The Godman

God’s Law and The Godman

Christ was born ‘under law’ in the sense that He was born of a woman and was therefore fully human and subject to temptation and the requirements of God’s law just as all human beings are.

Christ is God in flesh – both fully God and fully man, He is not ‘Son of Adam’ and is therefore not subject to the bondage and curse of God’s law as are all the descendants of Adam.

Christ is the unique ‘Son of God’ (The Godman) who fulfilled God’s law by living a sinless life and becoming our sacrificial lamb.

Colossians 2:14  Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Romans 8:4  That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Romans 13:8  Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

Galatians 5:14  For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Luke 24:44  And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
