The Holy Spirit’s Ministry in Our Lives
“I’m going to continue with Ephesians chapter 3 verses14 to 21, ‘Our Greatest Need’, there’s a reason why the Lord is keeping us with this, praise the Lord He’s got His glorious purposes His redemptive purposes…… We started last time looking at ‘The Word In Our Heart’, God sustains our relationship with Him and also we sustain it aswell – we have a responsibility in that, and we we’re looking at the place that the Word in our heart has. So we’ll read and then I’ll present what the Lord put on my heart. So Ephesians chapter 3 verses 14 to 21….
Ephesians 3:14 ¶For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
…. And we we’re looking last time – remember John 6 – the Word in our heart, the Bread Of Life – how His life is imparted to us as we partake of the Word. His Word in our heart is the equivalent if you like of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, so when we speak the Word from the heart it’s as though He himself was speaking it.
Praise the Lord we can’t limit what God is doing by putting His Word in our heart. I want to continue with that theme before moving into the actual work of The Spirit, the ministry of The Spirit.
We’ve had a look each time at what the particular need is, last time the greatest need was the Word in our heart, this week I want to look at the ministry – a proper understanding of the ministry of the Holy Spirit in our lives …… “
