Have You Not Known? | God Has To Open Your Eyes | Video

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Matthew 5:5
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Matthew 5:6

Have You Not Known?

..So the key to this is found – this is what God revealed to me in Matthew five.. There you are ‘ they shall be filled. ‘ Filled with what? God – filled with what He wants you to know. Filled with His presence, filled with His knowledge.. His understanding. It’s a continual going on. But the condition is ‘ those who hunger and thirst after righteousness. ‘ There it is. ‘ Have You Not Known? ‘

Now the only way we’re going to hunger and thirst for all of this – because it doesn’t lie in us – but He’s given the potential now through the new birth – through the baptism in the Spirit – for us to be able to receive of that. And it comes by asking. These are the things by which you grow with God. I ask Him ‘ Lord fill me more with your Spirit, fill me more with your presence – fill me to what I need to know so that I can understand these deep mysteries – understand interpret and discern your ways. ‘

Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth? Isaiah 40:21
It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in: Isaiah 40:22

Lord Open My Eyes

Why are we saying all this? Because Isiaih says ‘ My ways are not your ways, my thoughts are not your thoughts. ‘ They’re not! How can we know? We can interpret a thing and so often we interpret in the flesh. We still see things in the flesh because it can seem a good idea. And God says ‘ Have you not known, do you not know?

When Jesus rose again from the dead they didn’t know. How did they know – God had to open their eyes. There’s the principle – there’s the key to growing with God. Because it is only God that can do it. ‘ Only you Lord can show me, only you can enable me to understand what Isaiah is saying. ‘ The key is we ask. Will God turn you away, will God deny you? Of course He won’t – that’s the very thing He’s wanting you to do. This is what it says in the beatitudes.. Why the beattitudes are so important. They are stepping blocks for us to go deeper with God.. ..
