The Witness

The Resurrection Of Jesus Christ For The Overcomer
Pastor Kim

God’s revelation of resurrection in these last days to ‘ The Philidelphian Church ‘ is seen by those who overcome through weakness, trials of faith and The Word. The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is the most important teaching of the Christian Faith.
Resurrection is based on factual evidence found in The Word of God and confirmed by four eyewitnesses in four Gospels. Our witness to others is to depend on this – God’s authority against ‘ The Powers of Darkness. ‘ ‘ The Resurrection Of Jesus Christ For The Overcomer ‘

1 Corinthians 15:5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.

His Life Revealed In Us

.. Note how many times He revealed Himself to confirm the resurrection – that He’s triumphed and overcome death; overcome the weakness of the flesh – our unbelief. He’s overcome it all so that He will come back baptising us in The Holy Spirit – coming back to us to live His life in and through us. This is a great great gospel. This is the power of God’s Word being confirmed to us..

It is The Spirit of God that calls a man or woman to repentance. Eyes were not opened immediately to Christ’s resurrection – what we see is always in God’s revelation and timing.

Luke 24:13 And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.
14 And they talked together of all these things which had happened.
15 And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.
16 But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.

Eyes Opened

.. We’re talking about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The bible gives many witnesses to this and their eyes were not always opened at first. When Jesus rose from the dead eyes were not always opened at first. This gives us an understanding of how God is in control over what we see..

17 And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?
18 And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?
19 And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:
20 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.
21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.
22 Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;
23 And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.
24 And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.
25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he 1 expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

.. So their eyes were opened.. He’s explaining that God was using this to reconcile the world. But their eyes were not opened at first. So do we begin to see how God has complete sovereignty and control in what we see?

John 20:24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.
25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

From Our Heads To Our Hearts

.. So it was eight days later that Jesus came to confirm to Thomas the resurrection. It’s always in God’s timing that He deals with unbelief. We want Him to deal with it straight away but for Thomas it had to take eight days.. He’ll confirm and confirm until we make that right confession. Thomas had to make a right confession – ‘ my Lord and my God. ‘ He had to see who the risen Christ was. And you and I have to see who He is – when it drops from our heads to our hearts. It all takes the mercy and grace of God does it not ?

John 20:4 So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre.
5 And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.
6 Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie,
7 And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.
8 Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed.
9 For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.
10 Then the disciples went away again unto their own home.

It took a crying woman to ask – and receive the revelation of resurrection and salvation.

John 20:15 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.
16 Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.
17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
John 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

.. When we find that nothing is happening in our lives – ‘ I just don’t feel very spiritual ‘ – it’s our fault because He says ‘ you don’t come to me, you don’t ask ‘

John 21:5 Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.
6 And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.
7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.
8 And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes.
9 As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.
10 Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.
11 Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.
12 Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.
13 Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.
14 This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.

When You Are Ready To See..

.. There we see again their eyes are not clearly open – they don’t know until they see something happen – a miracle and their nets were filled with all this fish.. See how God deals with us – how He works with us – how He opens our eyes when we’re ready to see. It’s wonderful and it’s a miracle how God does this. This is why we’re calling this teaching ‘ The Resurrection Of Jesus Christ For The Overcomer ‘ because look what comes as a result of this resurrection! This is why we make so much of the cross.

.. You Are Ready To Die .. To Live!

This is why we too are to take up our cross daily and follow The Lord. It’s what comes as a result. If you are willing to die daily then the resurrected Christ will live His life in and through you and your life will be miraculous – supernatural. But it has to take the cross.. This is showing us the greater works.. what God is preparing for the Church in these last days.

Revelation 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
7 And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
9 And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

The goal of the revelation of resurrection is heaven with overcomers and elders in worshipful harmony with their risen Lord.
