Holding To Your Confession

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) Hebrews 10:23
Pastor Kim L. Page

.. Our confession will not really change unless the promises of God possess us.. They become part of our confession, particularly in the trials and tribulations that we go through. We still need to be honest and sensitive to the things that come out of our mouths, particularly when we are stressed or things don’t go as we want. All those trials that we meet through the week – it tells us by our confession what our attitude and thinking is towards those trials. ‘ Holding To Your Confession. ‘

The Breadth Length Depth And Height In Redemption (2)

The Light Of Confession

The church as we know is to be a beacon, it’s to be a light. That light is also confessing – our confession of faith.. through the trials and tribulations, because that is what fuels the light. The light that is set on a hill – this beacon this light – is fuelled by our faith, by our confession.. our endurance.. the trials and tribulations that we go through. That is what keeps this light aflame. The test of this light that God has set in the church is through the trials and tribulations. We know that many over the centuries who have stood firm to the faith, even those who have been martyred are the light.. the fuelling of the Church and it’s standing.

Walking In The Light

We know that Jesus is the Light of The World. That light can only be lit in His Church – in assemblies, gatherings where they are confessing and believing.. holding on to the faith through the trials and tribulations. That is a sign that God is with you – bringing the saints through every trial and tribulation. But for His light to shine in the Church it can only shine when you have believers who are believing confessing and walking in that light.. .. ..

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Numbers 23:19
And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof. Joshua 23:14
O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. Isaiah 25:1
And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God. Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out. The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways. Deuteronomy 28:1-7
The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways. And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee. And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee. The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them: And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them. Deuteronomy 28:8-14
