Honesty Is Essential With Regard To Faith | Video

A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident. Proverbs 14:16
These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. Proverbs 6:16-19

..We have to be also in faith with regard to our shortcomings.. The manifest to the surface very often when God allows us to go through trials. This is why I keep emphasising that we count it all joy when we go through these trials as much as they hurt because it’s working deliverance in us. It’s revealing what is there within us that has to be removed.. changed. When we come through it and God works that healing and change within us then we find that we have a faith that believes.. that can stand upon the promises of God’s Word knowing that when we pray God hears the prayers of a righteous man. ‘ Honesty Is Essential With Regard To Faith. ‘

Honesty Is Essential With Regard To Faith

No Hit And Miss

God wants you to know that what you pray believing in the Word of God He will answer. He’s not going to have this hit and miss with our faith which sadly has been in the past. Of course He knows we’re growing up – we’re maturing and that is the mercy and grace of God, but there’s coming a time now when He’s not going to have this any longer. He’s provided through the atonement for this pride that we’re getting delivered from, we’re without excuse.

Act Or React?

He will not have this pride and haughtiness with us, He will have us reacting when we hear something that we don’t agree with.. Instead of reacting we act in faith and there’s the difference. Remember the teaching I gave some months ago on that? (‘ Act Or React ‘) You see God deals with these shortcomings where we’re not in faith or we are wavering.. We have to seek God and find out why. This is where it requires honesty. It’s no good confessing the promises of God’s Word if you are wavering or if you don’t really believe. What you are actually portraying is lies. It’s deception and we’ve already read it to you – what God hates.. ..

Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. Matthew 7:16,17
Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men. 2Corinthians 8:21
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2Timothy 2:15
Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him Colossians 3:9,10
That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. Ephesians 4:22-25
If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain. James 1:26
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. James 3:17
The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going. Proverbs 14:15
Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight. Proverbs 12:22

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. John 3:18-22
