You see, many want to be baptised in the Holy Spirit and we teaching biblegive this analogy of being baptised in the Holy Spirit… because there are many that believe that when you’re born again you’re [also] baptised in the Holy Spirit, but scripture clearly shows that … the baptism is another experience.

There are many experience to be had walking with Christ, and the nearest analogy we can give to this is that when you are born again He is with you but when you are baptised in the Holy Spirit He is in you. And you certainly know it if you are truly baptised in the Holy Spirit.

But today’s title is ‘ I Have Come With A Sword ‘ and we’re going to base our teaching today on Matthew chapter 10 and we’re going to look at verses 34 through to 39. We know these scriptures very well but I believe again the Lord wants to open up further…..

“Do not think that I have come to bring peace on earth, I have not come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter in law against her mother-in-law, a mans foes will be those of his own household.

He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and he who loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me, and he who does not take up his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for my sake will find it.

So I said at the beginning didn’t I that there are times when we find it hard to assume that Christ – God who is love also comes with a sword……
