A prayer life and watching go together.
Many christian lives are not characterised by consecrated prayer – prayer led by the Spirit.
It is only this type of watching prayer that provides a right interpretation of these end times.
Watching prayer enables the bride to make herself ready.
Luke 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts
be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life,
and so that day come upon you unawares.35 For as a snare shall it come
on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy
to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before
the Son of man.
Luke 12:37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh
shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself,
and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.
Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the
Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication
for all saints;
Proverbs 8:34 Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at
my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
