Joy, Blessing Will Come

Pastor Kim L. Page

..Before we came to Christ in many ways we were actors on a stage. And of course Shakespeare was very aware of this in man. Man wears a mask, it’s theatrical – he loves drama.. fantasy. Anything rather that facing reality.. You see God will not let us pretend. He will not let us be like the emu [ostrich] who ‘ buries her head in the sand ‘ ..is one of the worst in the animal kingdom for looking after her young.. But you see God isn’t like that with us. This is why I’m calling this teaching today ‘ Joy, Blessing Will Come. ‘..

Joy, Blessing Will Come
Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 1Corinthians 2:6-11

Opening Our Eyes To Reality

..The Holy Spirit has come baptising us in the Spirit to open our eyes to sin. To open our eyes to injustice.. to what is going on in the world.. He brings us to a place where He opens our eyes to these things, and we have to let Him do it. It can be very hard sometimes, but very often when God is opening our eyes that is our deliverance.. Because this is where peace and joy in our redemption comes in Christ.. If you want to know God’s heart towards this world you ask Him to put it into your heart, and you will soon understand what it means here:

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:3,4

Seeing And Mourning

This is why the soul of the Christian mourns and travails because of the state of the world. But I’m going to take it a step further than that. I find that my heart mourns because of the state of Christendom. How so much of it has compromised – fallen away from The Faith. The spiritual shallowness and the blindness of so much in professing Christendom – that causes me to mourn in the Spirit.

And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Revelation 3:14-19
And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? Luke 11:9-13
