.. The reason that I’m addressing this is because we often find don’t we in this walk that Satan doesn’t release his hold until the end. And God in fact allows him to do that. And there probably is a reason for that because where God allows the enemy to buffet for a season – and remember God is in control in everything but He does give him permission to just go so far. We know this with regard to Job.. ‘ Keep Believing If There Is Still The Negative. ‘
Job 2:3 And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.
4 And Satan answered the Lord, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.
5 But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.
6 And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.
.. He said ' you will not destroy his life. ' There is often a reason why it seems that in our trials and in our battles that the enemy doesn't seem to give up until the very end.. Often God is working deliverance through those trials and much of that deliverance is in our mind and thinking. God is dealing still with the negative and I want to go into this to show why in God's infinate wisdom He allows this to happen. But there are also some other reasons for us to consider why God permits the Devil to have a hold until the end - because it's about His glory - so that none of self can get in the way..
.. So that we don’t take second best, so we keep in faith and warfare until fully manifested. And that’s another reason why God will allow these trials to go on like they do – because it’s about the glory of God. God says ‘ I’m going to be glorified in this, I’m not going to take second best, in no way are you going to take any glory to yourself, it will be all of me. That’s why it’s by faith that we receive the fulfilment of God’s promises.. ..
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Hebrews 11:32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:
33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions.
