Keeping Free From Deception
Keeping Free From Deception
Pastor Kim

.. The first deception took place in the Garden of Eden where the enemy the serpent raised this question ‘ has God said.. ? ‘Keeping Free From Deception’ ..

Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

.. So he (the Devil) comes as the deceiver. This is why scripture says..

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Matthew 24:24

Faith v Feelings

.. Because this is how he comes. He comes often in beauty, he comes looking nice, appealing, trying to appeal to the senses because he knows the weak areas within us, and where we have to be on our guard. We’ve said many many times over the years that faith has nothing to do with feelings, emotions – those things that we communicate with. Our faith lies upon the revealed Word of God. Whatever the situation.. storm, whatever you’re feeling or going through does not change what God says.

Search The Scriptures

We are learning that whatever I feel, whatever has been said or the deception I’m battling with the Word of God does not change. And of course we know that the enemy tries to change the Word of God and tries to twist it. That is the very first sin that he’s getting man to commit – ‘ has God said. ‘ This is why we make so much of God’s Word, we are Bereans with regard to the Word of God, we search the scriptures out for ourselves.

Confirmation and Witness of The Word

I have been teaching you for years and training you to go and observe and look it up for yourself, because that is what will confirm it. The preaching of the Word is a confirmation to the saints that what you are hearing.. learning is lining up. In other words it is a confirmation.. a witness. Preaching and teaching is actually to be a witness to your spirit to your heart what you yourself are learning from the Word of God. If it violates and goes against that then it is open to question and that there is something deceptive that is working behind that.. .. ..

And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. Isaiah 53:9
And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God. Revelation 14:3-5
Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man. For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles. Psalm 43:1-3
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. Jeremiah 17:9-10
For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. 2Corinthians 11:13-15
Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 2Corinthians 4:1-2
But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2Corinthians 4:3-6
But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. 2Timothy 3:13
