The Kingdom Of God | Being Busy Until Jesus Christ Returns

Kingdom Living Now

God’s heart is to preserve a people from His judgement, this is sensed by the disciple from a living daily relationship – not proof texts, however much of Christendom seems cultish – it does not change. The work of the Spirit makes us balanced people, everything is held in a balance because God is a God of balance. It is so easy to go overboard even with faith.

Luke 19:13  And he (Jesus Christ) called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. 14  But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us. 15  And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom  ( kingdom of God ), then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. 16  Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds. 17  And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities. 18  And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds. 19  And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities. 20  And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin: 21  For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow. 22  And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow: 23  Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury? 24  And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds. 25  (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.) 26  For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him. 27  But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me. 28  ¶And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem.

When you become fruitful this is a sign that your gifts and talents are being used and as we do this Holy Spirit empowers for more fruit. The more we see of the Kingdom of God the more fruitful we become. The Deeper Life walk is based on being mindful of The Kingdom Of God, not man building his ministry – freely give, freely receive. Jesus gives this parable on His way to Jerusalem and the cross, Israel has rejected God’s Kingdom so He’s put The Kingdom of God aside to suffer and die. He said occupy till I come back but Israel didn’t understand this and nor will we unless we receive the full gospel and the revelation being opened up in these last days under apostolic faith anointing and the gifts of the Spirit. Many in Christendom seem to say in effect ‘ok we’ll hang around till He comes back but overcomers will hear Jesus Christ telling them to be busy.

Acts 1:6  ¶When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom ( Kingdom Of God ) to Israel? 7  And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. 8  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Israel knew that the Kingdom of God would be restored on earth but failed to receive the King, as a result now the Kingdom of God is opened up to all of us but it’s a bit scary because Jesus now says ‘ … it’s not for you to know the times or seasons..’ which means he is coming only for those who have first received the revelation – who know and have made themselves ready; most will be unaware.

It’s all about discipleship and total faith, sadly however most today as back then reject the overcoming walk to become a wise virgin. Twenty to thirty years ago the buzz was all about the Lord’s coming but most now have lost sight of this and have become almost cynical. Another war is coming despite man saying he’s learnt his lesson about the futility of war – he never will learn without Christ. It is interesting how history repeats itself – it’s human nature to do so.

Luke 17:21  Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. 22  And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it. 23  And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them. 24  For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. 25  But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation. 26  And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

The true born again experience is a supernatural empowering to enter the Kingdom Of God by being united with the Godhead. This experience is inextricably linked to being in the body of Christ – His church because the church is the doorway into the Kingdom Of God.

 If the church does not understand the Kingdom Of God how can it be preached; you can talk about the Kingdom Of God only if you are actually seeing it and entering into it. This way is irreconcilable with the way of the world and will be marked by suffering and rejection.

Those who take these warnings to heart are busy being faithful till He comes. It’s as we yield to the Holy Spirit that He enables us to be busy this way.  Being busy in fellowship in the Body Of Christ fulfills the church’s function of pointing the way into the Kingdom Of God.

 Life can be like losing one’s way in a dimly lit multistorey car park – we should be those clear arrows pointing the way.  Now the Holy Spirit knows how to advertise Himself and He will do it through fellowship.

Hebrews 10:24  And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25  Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Acts 2:40  And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. 41  Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. 42  ¶And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43  And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. 44  And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

…. simplicity …. were coming back to this.  To be busy about the Kingdom Of God, that is in our Father’s house, is to be unemcumbered with the cares of this world and attending to just one thing.  If we cannot see the Kingdom of God we can but spiritualise the worldly kingdom we inevitably focus on.

To be busy about our Father’s house is to willingly allow ourselves to be purchased by a master and to become a slave – in order to serve.  This is how the bride matures led on by the gifts and the fivefold ministry but if your heart isn’t in this it won’t work, you will just perform you religious duty – and God says forget it.  Sadly most christians do not see that God wishes to build through them, they don’t want this responsibility to be an eye, ear …..

Romans 12:1  ¶I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service…. 5  So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

1 Corinthians 6:19  What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20  For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. Luke 9:62  And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God.
