Hebrews 2:10-18 10 For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. 11 For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren, 12 saying:
“I will declare Your name to My brethren;
In the midst of the assembly I will sing praise to You.”
13 And again:
“I will put My trust in Him.”
“Here am I and the children whom God has given Me.”
14 Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, 15 and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. 16 For indeed He does not give aid to angels, but He does give aid to the seed of Abraham. 17 Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. 18 For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.
Why don’t we hear much about the Spirit of Sonship and the purpose of Jesus’ coming? Because in the House of God many professing christians don’t want to grow up. They fight against maturing and developing in the Spirit. They want to remain children excused from responsibilities.
The Spirit Of Sonship
The work of the Spirit in these last days is to bring a body of believers into sonship. The Overcomers, the Bride that is making herself ready, the manchild hidden in the womb of the church. The firstfruits – the best of the harvest placed first on the alter.
Musical entertainment with charisma can’t achieve this. There is something in a spirit filled believer that needs the direction of the Word in order to follow the Lamb. The 5 wise virgins have chosen to give up their life in this world to embrace the cross and to follow Him. Then they can become those wise virgins who have light and are ready for the bridegroom.
Sonship and Suffering
To develop sons requires suffering and this is what sorts out the men from the boys. Those willing to allow much trial to bring forth Christ in their mortal flesh.
Hebrews 5 v 8-11
Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec. Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.
…dull of hearing because they want to hear what they want to hear. Those destined for the throne will in their hearts want to hear what the Lamb says. The early church wanted empowerment for witness, they saw the need and asked for it. Sonship doesn’t lie in our strength. When I witness I want Christ in me presented to people. I don’t want them seeing me … it is Christ in us the hope of glory.
Hagai 2 v 6,7
For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.
