..There we are – it is sin and sin has to be dealt with. It has to be confessed.. brought under the blood of the Lamb. Why on earth don’t Christians deal with their unbelief as sin? ‘ Our Faith Is Worked On In Certain Times And Situations. ‘
We are so cavalier about it. O we’re more consumed if someone’s committed adultery.. stolen something or committed murder.. We’re outraged on that. O we’ll get in prayer ‘ Lord have mercy on them – Lord forgive them. ‘ But how about our unbelief? Do we not take that as seriously? No we don’t – because we grade sin through our pride ..blindness.
The Sin Of Unbelief
He’s speaking in the context of love – how we love one another and are not a stumbling block to one another. That’s what he’s speaking of in the context there. But he still says that whatever is not from faith is sin – period. And we deal with it as that. We must come hard on ourselves where unbelief is concerned. And if you’re not then let the Spirit of God work that within you.
Do we not know that we are so spiritually rich as christians? There is just so much that is given to us. How can we doubt? We know don’t we from one Corinthians three verse twenty one onwards.. ‘ All are yours ‘, nothing has been left out.
Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your’s; 1Corinthians 3:21
Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are your's; 1Corinthians 3:22
And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's. 1Corinthians 3:23
