Our Spiritual Hunger Is By The Holy Spirit | Video

Father again we are presented in Your presence and with your Word. And Your Word is life. Your Word sustains us and it keeps us. Lord I pray that we will not only mix faith with what we hear, but also that we may be doers and not just hearers of the Word. Father help us not to make the mistake that Israel made. They never mixed faith with that which they heard – because they rebelled they questioned they argued. Lord help us to have that simple childlike faith to simply believe that engrafted Word. We ask in this now in Jesus name. Amen. ‘ Our Spiritual Hunger Is By The Holy Spirit. ‘

Well I want to speak today on the reasons why we are baptized in the Holy Spirit. The Baptism of the Spirit is to really work that hunger. So our hunger today which I am going to speak about is by the Holy Spirit. Our spiritual hunger is by the Holy Spirit. That is what we’re calling this today. How to we know this? Well Matthew five and verse six which we all know very well says:

Our Spiritual Hunger Is By The Holy Spirit

Spiritual Hunger is for Righteousness

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Matthew 5:6
Our Spiritual Hunger Is By The Holy Spirit

Now there is the principle of hungering. It’s not just hungering for God. There are many who hunger for God. There are many religions around the world that will tell you that they’re hungry and that they’re zealous for God. But that isn’t what is tells us there. It’s not enough. There are many Gods, there are many religions. There are many concepts and ideas of what man thinks God is. But God has revealed Himself Through the Word of God.

The hunger that He say to those that will be filled is that they hunger for a righteous life. And that makes a difference. What do we mean by a righteous life? It means that I am simply right with God. I’m in right standing. God’s presence is with me. I’m in fellowship with Him. The Holy Spirit is with me – in me – through me. He leads me – He teaches me – He guides me. This is what we mean by being righteous.
