Seeking A Righteous Life | Thirsting For Righteousness | Video

Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. Isaiah 55:1
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Matthew 5:6
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: Matthew 7:7

..That’s what we do, we just look at it. We look at the promises of God but it’s not just looking.. We do not eat.. because we do not hunger and thirst enough for this righteousness. Righteousness will fill you. It means I live a righteous upright life. ‘ I don’t want to lie, I want to tell the truth, I don’t want to cheat or cover up certain things. ‘ And we all do it, that isn’t a righteous life. ‘ Seeking A Righteous Life. ‘

Seeking A Righteous Life

Transparent Life In The Light

In other words ‘ my life that you see is the life inside when I’m on my own – there’s no difference.. I’m not living a double life – a Jekyll and Hyde ‘ which sadly goes on a lot in the House of God. But if you keep coming and listening and keep in the light as He is the light it won’t let you do that because it searches. That river searches all the crevices crooks and crannies, that’s the purpose of it.

Righteousness Glory and Provision

And so God is going to make us righteous as He is righteous. And then it is accepted of God and glorifies the Lord. There are still things at times that do not glorify God. That is why we don’t break through in these areas. You will know when you break through.. because you’re living a righteous life and you won’t have to keep asking God. It just automatically comes. All that is needed to live in this life God will provide. It’s free but it’s not cheap – that’s the question.

So I go back to this title, ‘ Seeking A Righteous Life. ‘ That’s the question that we’ve raised this evening. The only way brothers and sisters that you’re going to see any change in your life spiritually is that hungering and thirsting.. .. ..

For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him. Matthew 21:32
And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: John 16:8
For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, Romans 4:3-6
For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Romans 5:17
Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. Romans 6:13-14
And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. John 6:35
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) John 7:37-39
They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. Revelation 7:16
