Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. Ephesians 6:18-20
Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
Birthing It Through
.. Intercessions are the prayers of Christ praying through me the burden of the Spirit of God. This is how Jesus prayed. He prayed – He birthed through – and sometimes it took all night to birth it through – what the Father was revealing. All He had to do was open His mouth and God would speak through Him. Or He would lay hands on the sick and cast out demons or raise the dead. .. It had to be birthed through. We need to wake up to this brothers and sisters, it’s no different. We’ve got to understand God’s intercessions, and that’s why we’ve got to get out of the way. ‘ Spirit Led Intercessions. ‘
Emotional Interference
This is why God brings the cross into our lives which we preach about so much. It is dealing with self.. with us – what I want. When we finally surrender to the cross we begin to get an understanding of what God wants and not what we always want. And that’s why our intercessions don’t always work. Many can’t really be used in this ministry because they’re not willing to deal with their emotions and feelings that interfere. Did you know that your feelings – your emotions – that are always connected with unbelief – actually interfere with this type of praying.
Closeness To God
Intercession is praying God’s will for a person or for a saint or for a situation – whatever it would be. When we begin to step back from The Lord we begin to take on emotional sympathy for that person. In other words if my relationship is not as it should be with God or I am resisting God or if there’s sin / unforgiveness in my life my intercessions are not effective. I’ve actually removed myself from the closeness of God and this special ministry.. ..
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. Romans 8:26-27
