That I May Know Him | The Fellowship Of His Sufferings | Video

And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. Ephesians 3:19-21

..You see to know God we’re talking about 24/7. That’s what we’re talking about – not dividing secular from non secular – spiritual on Sunday and the rest of the week doing my own thing – we’re not talking about that. This is a 24/7 walk with God. ‘ That I might know Him ‘ this is what he’s saying here. It’s every moment every second of my life – I need to know Him in every area. Every area where I still battle I need to know Him.. How do I know Him – I know Him through the Word.. ‘ That I May Know Him. ‘

That I May Know Him
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17

Knowing And Offering Back To Him

..And that’s how He does it – by sowing that seed into our heart. So I need to know Him in every area.. in my battles, in my quiet times.. in my blessings.. When I read the Word of God.. hear the Word of God I need to know Him. That’s why He keeps working and working with us, for the very purpose that it becomes that acceptable offering. We spoke about last week didn’t we – the seed. The nature of the seed is to grow and He gives the provision. He gives the power of that seed to sow, to produce and be given back as an offering. Our deliverance our change is so that we give it back to Him as an offering.

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Philipians 3:10,11

‘ I Give Thee Back The Life I Owe ‘

That’s very important, and really what the apostle Paul is saying – ‘ that’s offering back – it’s not been in vain – my imprisonments, my beatings, rejections – all of that has not been in vain – I can give that back to Him. ‘ Who would ever think when you’re persecuted or they’re pounding on your back – how do you think you can offer that back to God? Well it’s impossible. You offer it back when you say ‘ Father I choose to forgive them. That’s the challenge. And when I choose to forgive them you have offered back that offering to God.. ..

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. Luke 4:18,19
Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God; He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself. After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded. John 13:3-5
O Love that will not let me go,
I rest my weary soul in thee;
I give thee back the life I owe,
That in thine ocean depths its flow
May richer, fuller be.
O Light that foll’west all my way,
I yield my flick’ring torch to thee;
My heart restores its borrowed ray,
That in thy sunshine’s blaze its day
May brighter, fairer be.
O Joy that seekest me through pain,
I cannot close my heart to thee;
I trace the rainbow through the rain,
And feel the promise is not vain,
That morn shall tearless be.
O Cross that liftest up my head,
I dare not ask to fly from thee;
I lay in dust life’s glory dead,
And from the ground there blossoms red
Life that shall endless be.
