Acts 5:31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

The Only Way

Pastor Kim

.. It’s interesting as He overcame the shame of the cross and He endured to the end so the work is similar within us. We endure, we fight the good fight of faith which can only be achieved as we have this strong focus looking unto Jesus, who has perfected that faith which is a gift He has given to us. It’s only going to be achieved in that way, there’s no other way. It’s as we look to Jesus we will walk by faith and not by sight. We know the enemy tries to take our focus away from Him..

Imparted Faith

He is the Captain of our faith, He’s the finisher – the one who has perfected faith in His life and walk that is acceptable to the Father who has raised Him up now – and who sits at the right hand of the Father. And so we are baptised in power by the Spirit and He imparts to us that faith that He walked by we walk by now, hallelujah! So why is it we doubt, why is it we battle to believe when He has gone before and prepared the way in order for us to believe? We battle at times because our eyes are not focussed on Jesus Christ who is the author and finisher of our faith.

Danger And Distraction

Distraction from looking to The Lord is very dangerous. God is like a captain of the ship.. When you start losing sight of your captain you try and start to steer your own ship. Not only does it lead to the wrong way but it can also lead into dangerous shallow waters. In other words you’ve missed opportunities, you’ve missed blessings. You’ve missed being used by The Lord for His glory. Why, because you’ve taken your eyes off The Lord.

Luke 10:38 Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.
40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
Colossians 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
Psalm 5:4 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.
5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
Psalm 37:12 The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.
13 The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.
Psalm 78:40 How oft did they provoke him in the wilderness, and grieve him in the desert!
Zephaniah 3:17 The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.
Luke 9:51 And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,
52 And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.
53 And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem.
54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?
55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.
56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.
