Everything in the world is so opposed to the love of God. The hearts are getting ready for the great deceiver to come. There are times when we feel we are like a lone voice in the wilderness. Who wants to believe – who does believe? None of them are interested. That’s why we need to be strengthened in the inner man – in the heart – for this final lap – this race we are in. ‘ The Inner Man Must Be Strengthened. ‘
For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Ephesians 3:14
Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, Ephesians 3:15
That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; Ephesians 3:16
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, Ephesians 3:17
May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; Ephesians 3:18
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Ephesians 3:19
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Ephesians 3:20
Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. Ephesians 3:21
Strengthened In The Final Lap
This is something God is really revealing to me. Because there are times it seems when our heart and our flesh fail us. But we know what the scriptures say – that God is the very strength of our heart and flesh. And here it is – that we must be strengthened in the inner man – in the heart in other words.
And so we are a part of the whole family of God both in heaven and in earth. We may be missing our loved ones – our brothers and sisters in Christ, but we will soon be again united. That’s the love and grace and mercy of God. And then he goes on in verse 16..
That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; Ephesians 3:16
All For His Glory
.. He grants us this – He gives this to us. It’s given to those who hunger and thirst for His presence. The bible says we will be filled – it’s for those who want this. God never forces – He never pushes these things on us. But they are there. All the promises of God in Christ Jesus are there for us as we see these things being unfolded to us. ‘ According to His riches in glory. ‘ Well how rich is God through Jesus Christ? There’s no end of the riches that are to be found in Him! Riches not only in this life but in eternity as well. It’s always about His glory. When it’s His glory that you want you will be ‘strengthened with might’ – there’s that word ‘dunamis’ (dynamite power) again – ‘through His Spirit in the inner man’. The heart – the spiritual side of you which is so important.. ..
