God has to empower us if we want to love Him with all our heart soul mind and being. Why – because you’re a target to the Powers of Darkness. The enemy does not want us to love The Lord with all our heart soul mind and being because he wants to be God. He wants you to worship him. Dependence On The Power Of The Spirit
.. But God’s always one step ahead. He says ‘ I know what the enemy is up to, I know his tricks – how he tries to trip you up – but I will empower you. ‘ This empowerment comes as we too keep our eyes looking to the cross of Jesus Christ. As the enemy tried to stop Christ from going to the cross fulfilling God’s will, so he tries to stop us. This is where the empowerment of God is needed through the Baptism of The Spirit.. He knew his life was dependent in every situation on the power of God to sustain him, and he’s not afraid to show this.
The Power Of God In Earthen Vessels
.. He’s writing this epistle to these Christians because they’re accepting him. They are not going to listen to those false teachers that are trying to say lies about him. And he’s now opening up and revealing to them how he does it – how he’s faithful. How he can go that extra mile; face shipwreck whippings stonings – very few went through what he went through.. He’s giving the secret here – the key to how he’s sustained – how he can go on. He says ‘ it’s not about me, I’m simply an earthen vessel. But God has chosen through earthen vessels in which to reveal His power. That is what sustains and keeps me. ‘ This is supernatural, this is miraculouse and this is what the Christian Church has to come back to.. .. ..
