Like A Child
.. Here he’s dealing with pride. He’s dealing with the main hindrance to our faith. And why does he choose children – because children don’t question like adults do.. But in the Spirit that is how we are to be.. If what God has said to us – He says to us in His Word His promises – we shouldn’t question it but embrace it and believe it and know that in God’s wisdom He will teach us in that right time and way. That is how our faith grows brothers and sisters.. ‘ The Simplicity Of Our Faith ‘
Father Doesn’t Get It Wrong
He shows how – if you want to be used in The Kingdom. And God wants that – He likes that – but He’s showing how it’s to be done. And it’s by a simple childlike faith that simply believes and trusts our heavenly Father knowing that He doesn’t get it wrong no matter how strange it looks. No matter what the situation looks like, it is for the purpose to simplify your faith and my faith, because this faith has to work. It is the Deeper Life and He’s going to make sure it glorifies His name. The only way He can do this is by calling the foolish the base of this world. That is the mind the wisdom of God, and when you begin to understand that.. bow the knee to that you will start to see your faith changing..
Knowing Nothing Unless Revealed
It will be like breathing naturally, that’s what faith is – you are carried along by The Spirit in that resting. But that is the hindrance – 1 Corinthians 1:27 – and we must allow God to do and work this in us. We are each of us coming to a place in The Spirit – not in the flesh I’m talking about – that I know nothing unless it is revealed by my Saviour. O we know a lot in the flesh, we’ve got our heads crammed, but we cannot rely on any of that. My knowledge comes through The Holy Spirit – the Spirit of God, and I only know when it is revealed to me – when He speaks it to me. That is how Jesus walked.. .. ..
At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. Matthew 18:1-5
