Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. Heavenly Minded
.. ‘ Our Father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name ‘ so we are immediately with that prayer not on the earth talking about the earth but with our Father who is in heaven. It is only there that our heavenly citizenship can be experienced, where we know the One that we shall be with. So this is the giveaway of those who are sowing to the spirit and not to the flesh. Their lives their hearts are being prepared upwards for the coming of The Lord. This is why I say so often that the Deeper Life is about teaching of Restoration. It is about restoring The Church back to being heavenly minded, her heart in the heavens. ‘ There Are Enemies Of The Cross. ‘
Waiting On And Waiting For..
This is our citizenship that is taking the world out of us through The Cross that we boast in. This waiting causes us to look up. Now none of us like waiting but we’re told to wait on The Lord. The bible has much to say about waiting on The Lord. There is a reason for it because waiting works spiritual things in your life and heart. Waiting on God sets our mind heart and citizenship in the heavens. Waiting on God is getting us to wait for the Coming of The Lord.
Is Your Heart For Heaven Or For The Here And Now?
You see only God can do that. It’s working something within you and me as we wait on God. This waiting on God what does it do? It causes us to look upwards.. to look away from the world it’s lusts and allurements and deception. That’s what it’s doing. You’re not aware of it always. At times you think ‘ how much more waiting is there to be? Don’t ever come against waiting or waiting on God – because this is what it’s doing. It’s causing your heart to turn away from the world. There are some who receive that and there are some who don’t. Those who reject this they are what we’re calling this teaching today – they become ‘ enemies of The Cross.. .. ..
Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved. I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord. And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellow labourers, whose names are in the book of life. Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philipians 4:1-7
