Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain. Philipians 2:16
..Even the world out there is questioning what’s going on. Well how much more us who are of the House of God. What we’re seeing now – the rapid falling away. What does this falling away mean? It means the falling further and further into darkness. The tragedy is that the darkness is revealing what a lot of the world is destined for – the Lake of Fire and Brimstone. Hell is darkness, heaven is light, and as we’re seeing this darkness now getting worse and worse it’s a sign where man is going to. And we battle it – it’s trying to draw us into the lake of fire and brimstone. That’s why we war against it. ‘ We Are To Shine As Lights. ‘
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 2Timothy 3:5
Overcoming The Darkness
We have to fight against it, it’s like we’re swimming upstream all the time against the Powers of Darkness that want to bring us down into this darkness. But praise God the power of the Spirit raises up that standard against the Powers of Darkness.. the enemy. And what does that – our faith in the Lord, our faith in the Word of God. That enables us to triumph and to overcome. That is why we are to shine as lights brothers and sisters.
The Light Of The Glory Of God
So we’ve looked at three areas with regard to this light.. The position of this light – a lampstand, a light house set upon a hill. We’ve looked at the nature which is to banish darkness – to divide darkness. Thirdly we’ve looked at its purpose – so that the world can see we are Christian – they will know us by the fruit. They will know us by our love.. by the way we walk. We walk a supernatural walk, we believe that God provides for us.
This is why we believe that God provides for the whole man – body soul and spirit. We do not get caught up in the things of the world. We are separated from it for the very purpose that this light may be seen in and through our lives. Through our walk – how we treat people, how we treat one another – so that it gives God all the glory, hallelujah! We are to shine as lights.. ..
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2Corinthians 4:6
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. 2Corinthians 4:7
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Matthew 5:14
Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. Genesis 1:3
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. Genesis 1:4
And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. Genesis 1:5
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. John 1:5
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:16
For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: Ephesians 5:8
