Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. Matthew 24:42
..He calls us to watch so we must be seeing something else He wouldn’t call us to do that. We’re not going to find what we’re looking for by our attempts, it’s going to be revealed to us by the Spirit and it’s that that we have to watch for. We have to watch and hear what the Spirit reveals and not the arm of the flesh or my attempts to try and understand and assimilate. We have got to learn to let go and allow the Spirit to reveal and teach us. Jesus said that’s what we’re to do – ‘ Watch therefore for YOU do not know what hour your Lord is coming.. ‘ But God does and He says if you watch then there is something He is going to show us – and prepare us. ‘ We Must Continue To Stand. ‘
You Won’t Stand Without God..
I think the Lord is already beginning to show us these things. For what purpose? So that we can continue to stand because if you don’t allow The Holy Spirit to show – to reveal.. teach you – you won’t stand. In other words you won’t stand as an Overcomer. You may go back, you may just be saved by the skin of your teeth, but who wants to do that? God’s called us so that we can stand confidently in these last days – for this very purpose. But we have learnt something – that our teaching.. understanding.. spiritual insight comes by the Holy Spirit. That takes faith, consecration.. a walk with God.
..Hands Off – God Building!
So we must continue then to stand, that’s what we’re looking at today with regard to this title. You see a building reveals what foundation it has by the length of time that it stands. We see some ancient buildings particularly in the UK.. We’re told that the Romans were great engineers. They built many castles and fortresses.. walls and villas.. and some of them stand. One of the interesting things is that the walls may have gone but the foundations are so often intact – because they were great master builders. Well take it with the Almighty God – God is the greatest builder and He is building through you and I. He’s building through His church that she stands in these last days.. .. ..
