..Let’s bring to a conclusion, and we’re talking about ‘ What Are You Doing ? ‘ Why are we to walk like this then? Well let’s recap and think through again. Firstly we are to walk like this because it stops one from planning and scheming. That’s why we’re to walk like we are. God is not going to have us to plan and scheme, it hinders our walk – our growth with God. You do not have to plan, you don’t have to scheme, God will give you the desires of you heart. He will bless you, He knows what you like and what you want far more than even you yourself..
I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. Psalm 37:25
It’s All About Him
..So He’s going to provide for everything so that you can be completely free to experience the revelation and the greatness of the Kingdom of God. So that is the first thing. The second thing why we are to walk like this, secondly our testimony is all about Him and not self achievement. There are a lot of testimonies but there is a lot of self that can be involved in them. But not these testimonies – they are going to be all about Him and Him alone. We boast in nothing of it, ‘ I had nothing to do with this, I just simply trusted God, obeyed Him and let Him do what He wants to do in and through me. That is testimony! That’s why we don’t plan or scheme.
Doing It God’s Way
Thirdly and finally why we are to walk like this: It throws you on the grace and mercy of God.. which is what we need. Being thrown completely and utterly on Him allows that grace and mercy to work on your behalf and my behalf. In other words it’s letting go, it’s deliverance. It’s no longer what I want, it’s all about Him and I trust Him that He will give everything and more that will be a blessing.. a joy. God doesn’t get it wrong over our lives, trust me and we need to really have faith in that.
Childlike Faith
So the question is what are you doing? Well, we can only say ‘ I haven’t a clue but whatever it will be it will be a blessing. Whatever God does He will bless, He will never let me down. He always delivers, He always gets it right and that is good enough for me. I haven’t a clue but I’m glad that He does. ‘ That is having that simple childlike faith. And that is why He’s delivering us brothers and sisters – so that we experience this.. .. ..
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Matthew 6:25-34
Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. James 4:13-15
