Who Can Understand His Errors? | Video

There’s the idea or revelation of it – we also say it in the Lord’s Prayer. Now you can only do that – understand that – when you start to get this understanding of ones errors. Where maybe you have missed it badly, and God had every right to cast you into hell, but He didn’t. Something within you starts to stir up. You cry out from that need to be kept from evil – temptation and sin. You start to mean business with God. Your crying out now from the depths of your heart whereas before it was just in the mind – it was something you did religiously.

.. And so presumtuous sin – to be dealt with – has to be put to death. We ask the same don’t we in the Lord’s Prayer.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.. Matthew 6:13

There again is this type of calling out:

Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression. Psalm 19:13

Crying Out To God

The Psalmist asks here that sin doesn’t have dominion over him. So he says ‘ Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins.. ‘ That’s rebellion – deliberate sin. ‘ ..let them not have dominion over me. ‘ In other words ‘ Don’t let it triumph over me – it it does I’m lost. ‘ ‘ Let you win the battle over my life – and not the enemy. ‘ ‘ Let not the enemy have the final say in my life but You for the glory of Your name. ‘ That’s what it means – and sometimes you have to ask for that.

You have to find yourself crying out for that before God. ‘ The Lord will keep me. Don’t let these weaknesses have dominion over me Lord. Because at the moment they are, and what glory does it give to your name. ‘ You see this is where God has to open your eyes and make you jealous for His glory – His name and fame. You see it all works together.. ..
