The Worlds Interpretation of Jesus disciples or His believers
“
… It’s important for us to know that the world will misinterpret
God’s people many many times. But in our consecration and in our walk we need to learn … and become very sensitive that through our trials and persecutions what we go through is for righteousness sake and not because of our stupidity … lack of consecration …. that what we go through is because of our love and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
I want us to look at a very important scripture 1Corinthians 4v13
Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day.
… In the context here we see that we submit to what appears to be foolishness for Christ’s sake. Many times we are misinterpreted … ridiculed, lied and gossiped about because God has got hold of our lives and we are walking … in a completely different direction to how the world is walking. We get an understanding of the context when
we look at verse 9,10 of 1Corinthians 4
For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men. We are fools for Christ’s sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised.
… That should be the heart and spirit of us as believers in Christ …. ….
