Your Faith Will Always Have Its Trials

God’s Way Of Unbroken Fellowship

Your Faith Will Always Have Its Trials

Matthew 17:20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

Faith has to have trials in the same way that muscles need to be exercised.  The Christian life is a daily – 24/7 –  consistent walk of faith, it is also an obstacle course designed by God to bring the disciple to ‘the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

Above each obstacle the Promises of God’s Word alone are to be found, they are the only way through.   Obstacles are trials of faith confronting the disciple with his/her need for God’s  succor in order to continue the course.

At each obstacle God is challenging the would be Overcomer to realise his/her total dependence on God.  The true disciple responds to the crisis by reaching out for more of God.  He/she will want only and ‘ask .. seek .. knock’ for unbroken fellowship (Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him…’) and so experiences/learns that God is that ‘very present help in trouble’.

This daily ‘faith as a mustard seed’ true ‘faith is the substance’ which God molds and works on to produce a ‘vessel of  honor’, and this ‘very present help in trouble’ is the ‘fullness [of Christ] we have all received’ – the blueprint to which we are being molded in unbroken fellowship.

2 Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.

Ephesians 4:13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

Matthew 7:7-12Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”

Job 13:15  Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him

Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Romans 9:21 Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor?

John 1:16 And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.

Father again tonight we bless you Lord for speaking life into our heart and spirit.  Father we thank you for this relationship that we have with You.  We thank you Lord that You are showing us that we can have that unbroken fellowship 24/7.  It is possible, it doesn’t matter what our lives look like, our circumstances or what the enemy is trying to throw at us.  You have shown it, You’ve revealed it, therefore it is possible, and it is for the asking.

But Lord we also know that we will be tried and tested.  It might even be for a season where it seems as if blessings are withheld or it seems as if I’ve broken fellowship with You, but You turn everything together for good to those that love God.

You are the only one Father who can turn the negative to the positive, and so Lord we just thank You tonight, we thank You for speaking into our lives and into our hearts.  We thank You for encouraging us and bringing us back looking to You, looking to the Cross.  Help us Father not to veer off to the left or to the right but to walk that path as Your light – the light of Your Word shines, and we take every step that Your light moves us forward in  ….

Mark 9:23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
